Trek Domane 5.9
One of the dozen or so Domane versions available from Trek, the 5.9 hits a real sweet spot for performance and all-weather capabilities.
Built with Shimano’s Ultegra electronic component group, you can count on flawless shifting and braking performance. Have you heard about Shimano’s electronic shifting? Ever tried it?
The Ultegra Di2 electronic component group is as near to shifting and braking perfection as we have ever ridden. It works flawlessly in rain, mud, under pressure going uphill, with a squeaky dry chain, and even when filthy and heavily worn. There aren’t any steel shift cables to corrode or stretch out, no mechanical shifters to wear out. The front derailleur trims itself so you won’t hear the chain rubbing on the derailleur, and you will probably never drop a chain.
On top of the mechanical precision, there is the Domane’s smooth ride to consider with their high-grade carbon, added fork rake, and de-coupled flexible seat tube.
Oh, and there is an integrated pocket in the frame for your bike computer sensor. And fender mounts that unscrew from the frame when you aren’t using them! Wires and cables that run hidden inside of the frame! Tubeless-ready Bontrager RL wheels! Clearance for wide road tires or fenders!
Damn, how long do you have to live in the Pacific Northwest before you start getting excited about fender clearance and the rain capabilities of your bicycle?
Our 54cm floor model is on sale for $800 off the regular price! Ultegra Di2 on a carbon 5-series Domane frame for only $4000!
