Used Colnago CX Zero
A Colnago that can handle fenders!
Well, that’s not really all that the CX Zero is about, but it is pretty awesome that you can put fenders on this bike and keep rolling through the winter around here.
The CX Zero was the bike that Ernesto Colnago developed in 2015 for his sponsored racing teams to use in the cobbled springtime classics. Besides being designed around 28mm wide tires, the frame was built to absorb a tremendous amount of road shock. The wheelbase is a tiny bit longer than the rest of Colnago’s line, so the ride is even more stable than the usually stellar Colnago design, and the position on the bike is just a little more comfortable with the CX Zero’s short top tube.
If you have always wanted a Colnago but have been afraid that you’d get a bike that is too racy or stiff, fear no more. While it’s true that this bike was designed with racing in mind (and it does handle like a real Colnago), this bike is easy on your body. Call it a racing bike for rough roads and bad backs.
The best thing? That this is a used bike that’s been traded in. the parts are terrific. It’s outfitted with a Sram force component group and Reynolds carbon wheels. The disc brakes are TRP hydraulic versions, and you get a Deda handlebar and stem. Brand new this bike would have run $5600.
You can buy it now (still in nearly new condition) for only $2399.
This is a 56cm size, so it will work best for a rider between 5’8″ and 5’10″ tall.
