Look at this bike!
This is the Look 795 Aerolight, Look’s pro-level racing rig. Like most of the bikes being raced for a living, this machine cuts through the wind like a bullet, climbs hills like a goat and handles the curves like a paring knife (how do you like those analogies?).
Obviously the cool things about this Look are the integrated components. Tucked into the frame (and out of the wind) are the headset, shifter junction box, battery and wires. The front brake reaches for the rims from its home inside the fork legs and the rear Dura-Ace brake is hidden under the bottom bracket shell. The adjustable-angle handlebar stem is really just an extension of the top tube on this bike, and the saddle sits on an adjustable mount that tucks into the seat mast, foregoing a separate seat post and clamp.
The 795 is available as a frameset (frame, fork, headset, stem, Dura-Ace hidden brakes, bottom bracket, Look Zed 3 crankset, and seat mast) for $6500. A complete bike outfitted with Sram Red Etap electronic components and Mavic Cosmic carbon wheels runs $12k.
