Vance Creek Road Race April 4th
The Vance Creek Road Race was born during a casual training ride with a couple of friends and has become one of the longest-running single day events in Washington. The course starts at the mothballed nuke plant on top of Fuller Hill in Satsop WA and covers a 13.5 mile loop near Elma. When the course reaches the Satsop Valley riders turn east and cover a narrow European style farm road. The courses characteristics encourages a opportunistic racing strategy that will pit the mountain goat, all-rounder and sprinter against each other. All that’s missing from this race is getting Matt Groening to write an episode of Simpsons about the event.
Race length varies with category.
