Tour of Spain fantasy league
The Tour of Spain (and our fantasy league) have raced to their conclusions.
It was a pretty unpredictable Vuelta Espana, and the regulars at the top of the Classic Cycle Fantasy Cycling and Bowling League had been left in the dust by a newcomer for most of the race, but long-time bike racing fan Glenn finally pulled out the victory.
Eric Terry (the Caja Terry team) held the lead since the start, but had only one overall jersey and nobody in the final top 3. Glenn had steadily moved up the rankings, and won when Simon Yates won the overall and the combination jersey. The Mulier family rounded out the podium with young Sebastian coming in 2nd (thanks to Simon Yates and Enric Mas), and dad Pieter taking 3rd.
Kiel actually raced this Vuelta, so we couch potatoes should give him a round of applause for actually racing the 2000 miles while we watched.
