Used Davidson titanium
This is a titanium Davidson road bike built with performance to spare.
The bike was built new for our friend Rick Nakata in probably 2003, the frame made right here in Seattle.
Bill Davidson built this with a double-butted titanium front end mated to Deda carbon fiber seatstays and chainstays. The design is impressive: it’s a super light frame with better stiffness for out of the saddle climbing and sprinting than similar vintage all-titanium Davidsons.
The equipment is a lot lighter than what you’ll find on current road bikes. New bikes give you a lot of frame and fork clearance for fat tires and fenders, and new disc brakes stop really consistently, but there are drawbacks. Additional material (weight) is the main one. On this bike the 1500-gram American Classic wheels combined with Campy Chorus rim brakes probably save a pound or more over the disc brakes and wider rims and tires that you’d find on current road bike offerings.
This bike also features Easton carbon fiber handlebars, an Easton carbon fiber seatpost and stem, a Chris King headset, Fizik Pave saddle, new 25c Vittoria Rubino Pro tires and a Campagnolo Record carbon crankset. This is a 16.5 pound road bike!
This is a 54cm size bike, a nice fit for a rider between 5’6” and 5’9” tall.
This complete bike can be yours now with a year warranty for only $2499!
