Vintage Colnago Super road bike
Want a Colnago road bike but don’t want to walk all the way to Italy to get one? You can walk into our shop and roll out with one now.
This frame was a trade-in. It was made in the early ’80’s of Columbus SL cromoly steel tubing, it’s a 55cm frame and it will fit a rider in the 5’7″ to 5’10” height range quite well.
We built the bike with new Campagnolo Centaur 11 speed equipment (sporting a compact crankset), it has hand built wheels made from Velo Orange rims and new Miche hubs. A vintage Campy Chorus seatpost holds up the Selle San Marco laser saddle (the white Selle Italia saddle in the photos has been upgraded) and you get Ernesto Colnago’s signature pantographed on the vintage 3TTT stem that is securing the handlebar.
While his Super is a vintage ride, the parts and wide gear range make it a lot more user-friendly and modern.
You get the timeless chrome fork, gearing that is pretty easy on the hills, and lots of polished silver parts. Oh, and it will only set you back $1000.
