The versatile Jamis Nova.
It’s a good bike for cyclocross racing, gravel-road riding, long-distance touring, short-distance commuting, going for coffee, going to visit friends, riding to the store, riding to stay in shape and riding to breath fresh air.
The light Reynolds steel frame gives the bike a nice ride quality and the riding position is very comfortable (provided that you’re over 5’10” tall). It has a Shimano compact crankset up front so there’s a wide gear range for touring with a lot of extra weight on board. You get Shimano 105 and Tiagra parts, including Tiagra wheels. Pretty cool.
There are attachment points for racks and accessories all over the bike and there is clearance for 38mm wide tires. Only $449.
