Vintage 1998 Cinelli Supercorsa (S.C.) road bike
This is a wonderful steel Italian road bike from the 1990’s.
The frame comes from Cinelli’s dream factory in Milan and is made from Columbus “SLX New” cromoly steel tubing. SLX New? Columbus did an update of the rifled SLX that they had been making since the early ’80’s to reduce the overall frame weight by about a pound. Just like on truly vintage Cinellis you also get nice touches like chrome lugs.
This Supercorsa is outfitted with a Campagnolo Record titanium component group and the bike includes the platform-style C Record pedals with alloy toe clips and leather straps. Other goodies include Cinelli Giro d’Italia handlebars, a Cinelli XA stem, Ambrosio Excellence rims and new Vittoria Rubino Pro tires. There is a stainless steel bottle cage, a Cinelli Volare saddle and synthetic leather handlebar tape.
The Cinelli Speciale Corsa (or Super Corsa) was really one of the finest road bikes ever crafted. Cinelli has produced these frames in limited quantities for fifty years now. This one was made in the late ‘90’s and was finally assembled in June of 2023.
What size is it? It’s a 53cm frame with a 53cm top tube and a 10cm stem, it has 170mm crank arms and a 39cm wide handlebar. All of those numbers mean that it’s a good fit for a rider between 5’3” and 5’7” tall.
Buy it and you’ll get a lovely vintage bike, a free yun-up after a few months of riding and a 1-year warranty from us. Only $2799.
