Felt Verza Speed series
Do you feel like riding a road bike but don’t feel like reaching for a drop-style handlebar?
Felt feels you.
Felt has a fleet of freaky fast road bikes (it would have rhymed better if they were “fixies”, but they’re not) for all of the fine folks out there.
The Verza Speed series are fast and luxurious road bikes built around upright handlebars. The frames on these models are essentially the same hydroformed aluminum ones that Felt uses for their VR road and gravel bikes. The fork on the Speed 20 is made from light weight carbon fiber, the Speed 30 saves you some cash by utilizing an aluminum fork, and the Speed 40 drops to around $600 with a more modest component package and mechanical disc brakes.
The Verza Speed 20 comes equipped with Shimano 20 speed Tiagra components, the Speed 30 model is fitted with Shimano Sora parts, and the Speed 40 has Shimano Alivio parts. The higher level versions come with Tektro hydraulic disc brakes. The Speed 20 saves a little weight with a carbon fiber seatpost, and all of the models come with really comfortable Selle Royal Gel saddles (with a clip on the back that accepts tail lights or integrated seat bags). The wheels roll quickly on 32mm wide Vittoria Zaffiro tires, and you get a cockpit with multiple hand positions since the ergonomic grips have integrated bar-ends.
Oh, and most of the frames feature reflective lettering and graphics.
