Just so you know, Bainbridge Island is hilly, and you will be sharing the roadways with automobiles, pedestrians, horses, and other cyclists. Traffic usually isn’t an issue, as the roadways are generally quiet suburban and rural stretches with decent shoulders. Island lanes have fairly nice pavement, but watch out for moss on the asphalt in shady areas (it’s slippery). Ask us, and we can point you towards the flatter routes, more scenic areas, or areas with bike paths and lanes.
We offer Felt hybrid-style bikes that are fine for riding in regular clothes (no need for spandex), and come equipped with racks, fenders (so don’t worry about getting mud splashed on your clothing), locks, and helmets.
We do not offer tandem bikes or rental bicycles for children.
Our daily rates are $25 for less than two hours, or for $35 you can rent the bike for more than two hours until the end of the day. If you need the bike for multiple days we have weekend and weekly rates available.
If you are planning a longer bike tour or want to do more athletic riding, we have some high-end (carbon frames, Shimano Ultegra equipment) road bikes available for $70 a day as well as a couple triathlon bikes. We have most of the common brands, but feel free to bring in your prefered pedals for us to install on the bike.
We have a fleet of only 15 bicycles, so if you have a large party you’ll need to get here early in the day or make a reservation to guarantee that you get a bike to ride.
Rental bikes need to be back by the time the store closes to avoid additional charges, so it’s best to get started early in the day.
We aren’t usually open on Mondays, but arrangements can be made so that you can rent a bike. Give us a call or send an email ahead of time and we’ll see what we can do.
