Classic style from Bainbridge Island, Washington

Wool is the perfect material  for cycling apparel.

It will keep you comfortable in a broader range of temperatures than any other fabric.  Wool doesn’t accumulate odors the way that synthetics can.  It repels rain for quite a while, and when it does get saturated, it keeps on insulating you from the cold.  Plus, when you are clomping around in your favorite coffee shop post-ride you look stylish.  No need to be an eyesore when you are off the bike…

Our wool jerseys and sweaters are made for us by the good folks at Oregon Cyclewear.  They come in slimming black, grey and blue, Colnago red or Shamrock green.  They all have “Classic Cycle” on the front and “Bainbridge Island, Washington” in flocked lettering on the back.  The long sleeve jerseys come with a single zippered rear pocket, while the short sleeved version have three buttoned back pockets.   Our badge is embroidered on the left sleeves.

Don’t fool yourself into thinking that wool is too hot to wear while exercising.  It really works well, even in hot temperatures.  And who are we kidding anyway?  The extreme temperature range that cyclists have to deal with here in western Washington is 45 to 65 degrees.  For 11 months of the year.
